No, this isn't a terrible new mint-peach bubble gum flavor...though it does tend to leave a bad taste in people's mouths.
Those settlers in Jamestown really should have settled down with all that land-stealing. Tobacco's bad for you anyway.

Guess what?
- 00:14
There are plenty of green jobs in the world! [The word jobs is painted green]
- 00:17
And when we say green jobs, we don't mean jobs where you have to dress up like Kermit the Frog. [Guy wearing Kermit costume in the office]
- 00:21
Nope, we're talking about jobs that are specifically structured to help make our environment a better place. [Coop pointing at a blackboard]

- 00:26
Though dressing up like Kermit sounds fun, too.
- 00:29
So what's an example of a green job? [Guy in costume playing a banjo]
- 00:31
Well, take a Water Wise Landscaper, which is a great position for someone who loves
- 00:35
the great outdoors.
- 00:36
A water wise landscaper designs gardens with specifically-chosen plants, flowers and trees [Guy putting down plants]
- 00:41
that can survive on just rain water, which reduces the need for extra water for sprinklers. [Landscaper in the rain with an umbrella]
- 00:46
An electrical engineer is another green job for someone who likes gadgets and electronics,
- 00:50
because many electrical engineers try to design and develop new electronic products that use
- 00:55
less fossil fuels. [Dino and Coop on the TV]
- 00:57
Or, if gadgets aren't your style, you could always be a green chemist!
- 01:00
These are chemists who paint themselves green while doing lab work! [Chemist's face is painted green]
- 01:04
…Just kidding. [The paint is washed off with a shower]
- 01:05
They're chemists who try to create products that aren't hazardous to our environment,
- 01:08
like eco-friendly soap, packaging, and construction materials. [Pictures of the products are shown]
- 01:12
Still not your cup of tea?
- 01:13
Well, maybe a hydrologist will be your dream career.
- 01:16
A hydrologist is someone who learns about precipitation patterns, studies water, and [Hydrologist stood in a flood]
- 01:19
comes up with new ways of conserving water.
- 01:22
While a wind analyst, analyzes…well….wind.
- 01:25
We wonder how long they had to brainstorm to come up with that creative name. [People trying to come up with name ideas in a meeting]
- 01:29
Anyway, they do stuff like determining the best locations to place those giant wind mills.
- 01:33
If you're more into fixing things hands-on, then becoming a wind turbine or solar cell
- 01:37
technician might be a good idea.
- 01:39
These people fix and maintain wind turbines and solar panels in order to keep them spinning [Guy up a wind turbine fixing it]
- 01:43
energy and soakin' up the rays.
- 01:45
We hope those solar panels wear plenty of SPF 30!
- 01:48
If you love cars, then becoming a Clean Car Engineer may be a good fit.
- 01:51
No, this isn't just about building car washes... it's about designing the cars of the future, [Guy building a car wash stops and looks confused]
- 01:56
and specifically, ones that don't guzzle a ton of gasoline. [Car drives up to the bar and drinks out of a fuel can]
- 02:01
You could also be a Green Builder, as in, a builder of green houses.
- 02:04
…Wait, not "green houses," like little Monopoly houses. [Guy stops building again and looks annoyed]
- 02:07
We mean a “green house,” as in a house that has more innovative and eco-friendly
- 02:11
features, like solar panels and rain collectors.
- 02:13
Or maybe, if you love food and people – and who doesn't? - then you could become a Farmers [Woman hugs a man and squishes his pizza]
- 02:18
Market Manager.
- 02:19
A farmer's market is an outdoor grocery store that sells locally grown and made food.
- 02:23
And don't worry, city-folk!
- 02:24
It's not just for farmers.
- 02:25
Those are just a few of the many, many green jobs currently available.
- 02:29
And as the world begins to take the environment more and more seriously, even more new green [Planet Earth watering plants]
- 02:33
jobs will become available.
- 02:34
And if nothing else, you can dress in a Kermit costume..
- 02:37
If anyone questions you, just tell them, "it's not easy being green…"
- 02:40
We're positive they'll respect that.
