All right, so we’ve got our minute hand, which is obviously pointing to the…minute.
- 00:31
The hour hand, however, is a bit trickier.
- 00:34
Rather than making a big jump suddenly from the 2 to the 3 at some point,
- 00:38
it meanders slowly during the hour...
- 00:40
But we’re dealing with 2:30, which should be easy –
- 00:43
we’re exactly halfway between 2 and 3 o’clock, right here.
- 00:48
We know that a circle has 360 total degrees…
- 00:51
…so the angle between any two numbers on a clock face must be one-twelfth of that…or 30 degrees.
- 00:58
Looking at our hands…not those, focus on the problem, please…
- 01:02
…we can see that we are looking for an angle equivalent to 3 and a half hours.
