All right. Uh, well, it'll be awfully helpful if we know what
- 00:26
"coherent" means for starters.
- 00:28
Basically, it means "logical" or "making sense."
- 00:31
But what does prefix "in" mean?
- 00:34
Well, sometimes it means to go in a certain direction, like "inland."
- 00:39
But then there are words like "inflexible" and "insufficient"
- 00:43
and "insane." So "in" usually means "not."
- 00:46
And if something is "incoherent," it's
- 00:49
not coherent or not making sense.
- 00:52
Hopefully that makes sense.
- 00:55
So let's look at the answers. A - lucid.
- 00:57
Well, lucid means clear or easy to understand,
- 01:00
which is the exact opposite of what we're looking for.
- 01:03
D - resistant. Well, resistant means not wanting to do something.
- 01:08
Yeah. [ chuckles ] C - sleepy.
- 01:10
You might not make very much sense when you're tired, but
- 01:13
this one feels kind of random.
- 01:17
So try B - disjointed. Mm.
- 01:20
Well, here we can guess that
- 01:22
"join" means to come together, and the prefix
- 01:25
"dis" (in words like "dislike and "disappear")
- 01:30
"dis" means not.
- 01:32
So the correct answer is B - disjointed,
- 01:35
which means not really following a clear pattern.
- 01:38
Just like Taylor Swift's dating history.
- 01:40
Yeah? Remember her? Really tall. Blonde.
