Diana (Virgin Goddess)

It often seems like Neptune is out to get Pericles, but there's another deity to help the poor guy out. That's Diana, the goddess who appears to our hero in a dream and leads him to her temple in Ephesus, where Thaisa has been living ever since her nearly lifeless body washed up on the shore nearby. 

Gower

Gower acts as the audience's guide in this play. During opening prologues, he's always reminding us of what's been happening and explaining what's about to happen. He encourages us to use our imaginations, and he even gets all Judge Judy on some of the characters and tells us how rotten he thinks they are.
