Character Analysis

In Ephesus, everybody worships this goddess of chastity. When Thaisa washes up on the city's shores, she moves into Diana's temple and lives her life as a nun until she's finally reunited with her husband.

At the end of the play, Diana appears to Pericles in a dream and leads him to her temple in Ephesus, where Pericles meets his long-lost wife. Hmm. Looks like someone's looking out for Pericles and his family, wouldn't you say? This suggests that there's a divine presence in the world that's guiding the characters' lives toward that happy reunion.
