The myth of the Trojan Horse kind of reminds us of the story Jericho, a well-known tale from the Judeo-Christian tradition. In this story, the Jewish people make it to the land of Canaan after wondering around in the wilderness for 40 years. (Too bad they didn't have GPS back then.) In order to make their way into the Promised Land, the Israelites have to conquer a city called Jericho, which, like Troy, has some awesome walls.

Just like in the story of the Trojan Horse, the Jews use some pretty unconventional tactics to make their way into the city. God tells their leader Joshua to have his people march around the city once a day for six days with the priests holding ram's horns and the Ark of the Covenant in front of the procession. On the seventh day, they do the same thing, except the priests blow their horns and all the people shout. Next thing you know, the walls of Jericho come tumbling down, and just like Troy a once-great city is history.
