Tristan

Despite the plot spending almost as much time on Yseut as it does on Tristan, Tristan's the protagonist of this story. It begins with his birth and remains focused on his exploits even after he separates from Yseut. Like most medieval romances, Tristan is all about the knights. That we get much focus on Yseut at all is thanks to Tristan's identity depending mainly on his love-relationship, rather than on knightly adventures far afield.
