- In blatant violation of the "only one person can do the hand-off" rule, The Dude picks up Walter in front of Walter's home-security business.
- Not shockingly, Walter has cooked up a wacky plan, which is as follows: they'll give the kidnappers a "ringer" briefcase containing Walter's dirty underwear and keep the Big Lebowski's $1 million for themselves.
- The Dude finds this plan completely bogus.
- The kidnappers call, and The Dude blows his and Walter's cover by revealing that he's not alone in the car.
- The kidnappers, who sound German and a little nihilistic, cancel the hand-off.
- The Dude freaks out, and Walter, who's driving, tells The Dude to calm down and not be so "un-Dude."
- Then, the kidnappers call back and agree to go through with it. This may be the most disorganized kidnapping in all of criminal history.
- Walter thinks they can get Bunny back and keep the $1 million, but The Dude is extremely skeptical.
- The kidnappers tell The Dude to throw the briefcase over a wooden bridge from the moving car.
- Walter throws them his undies and then jumps out of the car with an Uzi, which he loses his grip on.
- The Uzi spins in circles, spraying bullets everywhere. Somehow, nobody gets hurt.
- The Dude and Walter watch the kidnappers speed off on their motorcycles with Walter's dirty underwear in tow.
- The Dude is very un-zen about the whole thing. Walter shrugs: "F*** it, Dude. Let's go bowl."
