Private Banking
Categories: Banking
If you're rich, you can get a lot of special service. You can have a private butler...someone to spread talcum on your underwear and tuck you into bed at night. You can have a private doctor...someone who will treat your VD and coordinate your plastic surgery with extreme discretion.
You can also have a private banker. Usually, this designation doesn't mean that you have an actual banker living under the stairs, waiting for you to ring a bell every time you need to write a check. Instead, it represents a series of financial products specifically designed for you.
Regular folks have to wait in line to talk to a teller, or complete whatever banking services they can online. Private banking provides a more personal approach. The product targets high net worth clients, giving them customized investment services. It also typically includes estate planning and tax strategies as well, designed for the customer's specific financial situation.
