Point-To-Point Encryption (P2PE)
Categories: Tech
The points are usually IP addresses, i.e. the digital cyber addresses from which a given set of computers ties into the superhighway.com. (The internet, if you've been stuck with Damon on Mars.)
Point-to-point encryption attempts to be a more secure way of transferring data between 2 points. When it's only 2 points you're worrying about, you can have all kinds of secret handshakes that have to be made for the two points to have a handoff, and actually spread wide their, um, servers, and welcome the injection of data.
Information exchanged by only two points. Kind of like a marriage.
