Green economics is the study of economics with the environment (and how people can interact with it sustainably) in mind. Since we’re working with limited natural resources, green economics is a lens that ensures we’re using those resources wisely (and if possible, sustainably, for our future selves and future generations) as we continue to encourage economic growth.
Green economics is more a colloquial term than it is an official group or field of study (see “environmental economics” for that). Green economics, in general, implies a long-term horizon and holistic approach to economics, taking into account health of both humans and nature.
