The futures and options exchange in the heart of the Chicago Loop. CME is a hub for trading derivatives tied to the agriculture, energy, stock indices, foreign exchange, interest rates, metals, real estate, and weather markets.
There are plenty of legendary stories about commodity trading in the “pits” of CME. However, the introduction of digital trading operations has largely diminished the trading floor to fewer traders than it used to be.
The “Merc” was founded in 1898 as the “Chicago Egg and Butter Board.” It would receive a badly needed name change in 1919.

secondary shares are traded not primary ones well this new law made the New York [Group of people dealing in stock market]
Stock Exchange a big deal with big powers and made insider trading illegal
and believe it or not it really wasn't illegal back then and it you know thus
paved the way for many exciting Wall Street movies where greed is sometimes
